What kind of materials do you use?

Full-Grain Leather

We only use full-grain leather, never top-grain leather and definitely never “Genuine Leather.” Full-grain leather is the highest quality leather you can buy. It utilizes the entire hide with natural imperfections and all. Products made with full-grain leather patina beautifully and will last you a lifetime if properly cared for. We source our full-grain leather from tanneries in the US, England, and the EU.

Genuine Leather is the lowest quality material that only technically qualifies as leather, made of leftover low quality leather scraps that have been glued together and painted to look uniform. Items made from Genuine Leather do not last long and they look terrible with age.

Solid Brass Hardware

We use solid brass hardware sourced from foundries in the UK, Japan, and Taiwan. We also use vintage solid brass hardware made in the US.

How do I care for my leather goods?

Simply brushing the leather with a horsehair brush will clean and polish the leather, and you can do this as little or as often as you’d like, even on a daily basis if you so choose. A very light coat of leather conditioner such as pure neatsfoot oil can be applied sparingly 1-2 times a year but be careful not to over-condition the leather.

How do I measure myself for a belt?

The easiest way to determine your belt size is to measure one of your own belts from the edge of the buckle to the hole most commonly used (see photo above). Do not go by your pants size.
